The worlds of Grand Theft Auto's Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas have been updated with enhanced draw distance, 4K textures, and better lighting effects, creating some truly beautiful scenes (many of which are shown in the GTA Trilogy trailer). This criticism can really only be leveled at GTA Trilogy's characters. While no one expected the GTA Trilogy's graphics to be on par with recent Rockstar Games releases like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto 5, they likely expected them to look somewhat more realistic than the originals - not less.
